To enable cookies, choose your browser from the list to the right hand side and follow the instructions. If you are unsure of your browser version please click on "Help" at the top of your browser and "About...". The version number will be displayed.

  • Click Start and select Control Panel (If you use Windows XP Classic View click on Windows Start button and select Settings and Control Panel).
  • Double-click the Internet Options icon.
  • Select the Privacy tab.
  • Ensure that the scroll bar on the left hand side of the window is set to Medium High or lower. If this is not displayed click on the Default button.
  • Click the Advanced button.
  • Check the box Override automatic cookie handling under the Cookies section in Advanced Privacy Settings window.
  • Under First-party Cookies, select Accept.
  • Under Third-party Cookies, select Accept.
  • Check the box Always allow session cookies.
  • Click OK.
  • Still in the Privacy tab, click on the Sites button.
  • Enter www.irishtimes.com into the Address of website field, and click Allow.
  • Click OK.
  • Click Apply and OK to exit.

  • Choose the Security tab, then click on the Internet web content zone.
  • Adjust the security level to Medium and click Apply.
  • Click on Custom Level and scroll down to Cookies and ensure that Allow per-session cookies (not stored) is Enabled.
  • Click Apply and OK.
