On Thursday, May 10, 2007 Colin Lawton from Ireland asked:

One of the great problems with politicians in this country is the concept of 'government at any cost'; going into government with whomever will take you/make up the numbers, regardless of their policies and leanings. I have felt for the last five years, and longer, that the Greens have been the most effective opposition party. Can you tell us exactly who you will and who you will not go into power with after the election?

Whereas Ireland's impact on the global environment amounts to less than a gnat's spit when compared to the impact of large "old Tech" states. Why then does the Green party put out a message that we here in Ireland can save the planet? if not to give you a job for four/five more years.

As a cyclist it is getting increasingly more dangerous to cycle through Dublin, between uneven surfaces and lack of cycle lanes. What do you plan to do about that? As a driver, I think there should be tax penalties for driving energy inefficient cars. How about providing tax relief for bicycles as they do in holland? On the economy, I am becoming increasingly worried about our reliance on the building industry. Have you a plan in place for diversifying/increasing our exports?
